DUE TO COVID-19, THE MONTHLY BREAKFAST HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Pennsylvania is now enforcing an order that requires face masks to be worn.
EMCOMM, EMergency COMMunications.
The repeater now has battery back up emergency power in the event of a power outage.
In case of the repeater being off air, the emcomm protocol for 985 will be using 146.985 Mhz SIMPLEX. It is suggested that you program a “memory channel” for 146.985 simplex, NO PL Tone, 0.000 Mhz offset (may have to change the auto repeater offset to 0.000 Mhz).
W3GMS REPEATER in Parkesburg, PA 
The top picture is the link and tower at my home. The antenna is an 11 element M2. The bottom picture is the same antenna but at the repeater site. Bob-N2HM is up the tower changing the polarization from vertical to horizontal. The link will only need to to run about 500 mW to cover the 4 mile span.

This is great news. I can’t speak for others who use the W3GMS repeater, but as for me, I absolutely will be using the Echolink access, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up using it more than I direct RF connection with the repeater! That may sound funny, but it seems I’m traveling and out-of-town so much that such a scenario could be the case…LOL. Thanks to Joe for making this progress!

Always a pleasure to enhance the 985 service Bobb. You liking audio, don’t forget the AllStar side as well. I have my node numbers, but they get you no where until I get the loose ends tied up.
