Repeater Coverage

NOTE: This “scheme” has NOT been implemented. Stay tuned for further updates.

The W3GMS Repeater experiences occasional intermodulation with an unknown source. At its worst, the intermod prevents use of the repeater so Joe plans a new scheme. When intermod rears its ugly head, the repeater will be used in receive mode while transmission (repeating) takes places from the antenna in Joe’s backyard. The question that arises is, what is the difference between the two? The answer is shown in the graph where the solid splotches of color show power from the repeater site. The overlaid rings show receive power from Joe’s back yard antenna.
